Palette Pingpong Halloween
This week's Palette Pingpong is brought to you by the challenging (but lovely) Gabrielle, the season of Halloween and the wonders of accessorising. First of all, le palette:
The photo which inspired it is over at Gabrielle's blog now, and the spawn of our little pingpong game? Hello, ghosties!
As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason the dead shouldn't be just as well accessorised as the living.
If you are of similar mind and want to create your own ghostie garland, you can find a fun set of templates here. As well as the basic ghost, I've included a whole range of accessories - bows, hairbands, glasses, moustaches, belts and flowers - all in the same shades as the original colour palette. I added the accessories to my ghosts in Photoshop and printed them out fully-dressed, but you could just as easily print everything separately (using the template as it is), then cut the details out and glue the accessories to your ghosts.
And while we're on the subject of free stuff and celebrations, you might want to linger a little longer over at Gabrielle's blog and check out the giveaway she's offering. It's to celebrate the fact her pretty heart-shaped bunting was featured in this month's Marie Claire magazine (so proud of my talented friend and her not-so-little-anymore business...) and all you need to do to win some for yourself is leave a comment telling her about something you love.
I'd like to suggest you tell her 'Kirsty's free Halloween ghosties', but that would be pushing it a bit, right?
